We love cheese and we are here to spread some of the cheese love that we feel, with the rest of the world.
Our blog has existed since 2005 and before that we published a newsletter for our mailing list. This has subsequently made its way onto the internet and is now distributed – by more modern methods, these days – to thousands of readers.
Subscribe to our emails for regular updates on recipes and tips on cheesemaking, if you can’t wait to read it in our blog.
We give advice on everything, from making the perfect ricotta, to how to produce a nice and easy hard cheese.
And as for our writers, at the moment we are a small and close knit team of four regular bloggers; Anni, Stacey, Jo and Dilene.
Between the four of us, there’s not much we don’t know, or can’t find out, about making cheeses.
However, we are always interested in what other people have to say, so would love it if you could take the time to leave a comment or a question on our feedback page.
Anything you would like to see covered on these pages that we have missed – let us know!
A lot of people would like to make their own cheeses, but don’t feel sufficiently confident to do so. We are on a mission to change this.
It is not as difficult as you might think to get started with cheesemaking at home.
Believe it or not, it doesn’t require too much in the way of specialist equipment and there are some very basic cheeses that you can get started with.
After all, cheese has been made for thousands of years – dating back to Neolithic times.
So, it does not matter even if you don’t have a lot of refrigeration space – because, as we say at Greencheese – where there’s a will, there’s a whey!
